What Makes It So special.

Last week i've posted some hobby called AQUASCAPING...

Actually its been here in Malaysia for a long time.From what i know, the first person who ever get involved is this was back in 1990's. That would be 20 years ago.

Do you know that this hobby actually are recognized worldwide? Even they had an International Aquascaping!!!
Back in the first year when i got involved, it was in 2008...i got so amazed by the fact that during the 2009International Aquascaping Competition which they called it INTERNATIONAL AQUA PLANT LANDSCAPING COMPETITION (IAPLC) , 2 of our own...yes Malaysia were in the TOP 20!!!!!
Just can't believe that this was why i got very hyped to get involved in this unique , full of challenges, i can call costly & really can give you the best feeling you had ever had watching your plants grow....

Ok..back to those contestants. Here are the recap ot the winners for 2009.
Malaysia actually had the 3rd largest numbers of entries in the WORLD!!!!

BRONZE PRIZE(#5 WORLD RANKING) - CHINA

 BRONZE PRIZE(#6 WORLD RANKING) - HONG KONG

BRONZE PRIZE(#7 WORLD RANKING) - TAIWAN

#8 WORLD RANKING - VIETNAM

#9 WORLD RANKING - VIETNAM

And the list goes on & on until #2k like that..hehehe..and along that TOP 100 got a few Malaysians made their name.

Well, as is it not an easy or not a 1 day job to make their tanks looked like that...it really paid off for these 2 guys.....Why???

Cuz Big Bro Sim & Taukeh got full paid trip to Japan for the prize giving ceremony with accommodation!!!!
And as the prize...Bro Sim received a whooping  100,000 yen!!!

Well...thats it for 2009..a bit late but a good history to remember & for me to keep me going to work harder to achieve more in this hobby.

As for year 2010...Malaysia didn't perform very well, maybe because of the fact that everybody have quite the same theme & styles....so.. new ideas coming out in a year time.... was quite challenging...anyway...got good news for the year 2011...will update the result in another post soon.
