You'll Never Know Who is Sharing Your Wifi

Do you know that to hack into your WIFI is as easy as ABC? But obviously there are still step D-Z though...
But if you're unaware of the fact that anybody with WIFI adapter can get your KEY pretty easily, then you should take a more drastic measure to change your network security setting.

The worst case is when you have those shared files of yours, or you would like to have sharing network for easy file transfers....then everything will be visible when somebody gets through your wifi...

UUUUUWAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!

I'm not gonna tell you how to get or to crack other people's WIFI but rather to guide you on how to save yourself from losing your monthly Data Limit or bandwidth.
If you want to learn for the sake of education....without being a jerk..can google for the tutorials..there're many ways for you to get through others wifi. Please note that this is illegal in some countries or in Malaysia it may not be illegal but... have integrity..

Ok.But first to save yourself, you need to understand few basic terms.I called them basic cause this is the least that i know..haha...cause i'm still in the process of learning some extra delicate networking stuff.

  1. ESSID  - your wireless network name displayed. Exp : oliver-Wifi
  2. WEP     - Type of security / the way you set your Wifi KEY/PASSWORD.
  3. WAP    - Another type of security
  4. Router   - i believe most of us are familiar with this. Its the gadget that will produce the Wifi signal. Exp : Linksys
When you know these 4 basic things...then to learn how to operate them...you'll never have the fear that somebody are actually sharing your Wifi.

STEP :

1. ESSID - Somebody have already you password...and you may not know how to change your  password...the easiest way is to trick the hacker by keep on changing your ESSID..if today he/she might have your password for Oliver-Wifi...but when you changed your ESSID to Goku-Wifi..haha..he'll be looking for Oliver-Wifi signal but...not there already!!!!so they will take some time to figure out which wifi signal is yours..for them to apply the password that they already have.

2. WEP - This is usually the basic security measure being used or most if the time its the default setting. Please note that to be able to crack your KEY...these hackers will look for signal with WEP-key. Ya..the easiest security system to crack.
So how?If this already the default security system...so i'm open for hackers!!!!!!!

This comes to step no :

3. WAP - in the security system there are actually 2 types. First of all, the WEP (that had already made you frustrated) and the second one is WAP. USE WAP. Yes.This is a more complex type of security.Set you KEY using WAP and not WEP.( Althrough WAP still can be cracked, but only a few will have the patience to do so..) Can use the same password that you used for your WEP. Doesn;t matter. You can choose from these two options when you set your password in your.........

This brings to step no:\

4. Router - GET TO KNOW YOUR ROUTER & HOW TO PLAY WITH THEM. You can get all the info or steps from your manual provided with your router or ask your internet provider for guidance especially they came to install your internet. This little gadget has it all. To change your WEP to WAP..you'll need to go into your router to change the setting. i'm not going to show how to get into it, but you can google for the tutorials.

Please note that, when a person can get into your wifi...i would assume that they even can get into your router by entering default ID & PASSWORD for your router. Most of the time, your internet provider will not tweak the ID or password for your router which they will leave it to default. Anybody can know the default ID & PASSWORD for you router. Just Google the model and wallla!!! . So...if he/she plays with the settings...then it can ruin your networking..The safe way is..change your ID & PASSWORD. Then again, you need to know your router.

Well....there you are...few easy steps to counter the problem of people stealing your WIFI signal. Maybe not as easy to crack them.Hehe....

Not you can feel relief...
FFFFUUUUUUUHHHHH.....

Like i said.....YOU'LL NEVER KNOW WHO IS SHARING YOUR WIFI.
